1.课程成果:
本课程为英语专业基础课程。该课程主要通过阅读英语国家各种不同主题的文章和材料,使学生解英语国家在社会、文化、商业等方面的情况,扩大学生知识面。同时培养学生自主调整阅读速度的能力,并能快速识别文章中的过渡词,理解各部分之间的逻辑关系。进一步加深体会扫读、猜词等基本的阅读技巧。修完本课程的学生应达到如下要求:通过阅读,掌握和积累一些难度较高的词汇、搭配和用法,并能在遇到相关话题时,使用这些词汇和用法来进行口语表达。

理论讲授,讨论,提问
3.考核方式:
1).平时成绩:100分折合为总成绩的30%;
100分=100分+0分
注:100分: 阶段考试2次,每次50分;
0分: 随机抽查5次出勤,不计分,3次无故缺勤者取消其期末考试资格。
2).期末成绩:100分折合为总成绩的70%
3).考试方式:闭卷
4).成绩评定:百分制
